Ravi has 20 years experience in event management, sponsorship, volunteers and entertainment bookings. He also specialises in social media and digital marketing.
Ravi first started using Youtube as a digital content promotional tool in 2006. He has successfully built large email databases and social media following for numerous organisations, including increasing Deakin University Student Union’s Facebook reach by 3430% within a few months and successfully branded one of Australia’s leading nightclubs called Wah Wah Lounge.
Entertainment Embassy gradually morphed into a digital content and film production company. Recently Ravi scaled the company back to concentrate on its TV and film projects. In the near future, Ravi will create a new TV and film production company with branding inline with stories for global audiences that promote strong culturally diverse talent and stories.
Parallel to his screen career, he began working alongside underage event promoters as far back as 1993. His tenacity and passion in the industry never let up, pursuing every aspect over the years to the present day.
He's been a booking agent for DJs, bands and dancers, and booked the entertainment for the Olympic Village Nightclub during Sydney 2000 Olympics. Ravi worked for Deakin & Monash Universities, as their Entertainment, Events and Sponsorship Manager producing some of the largest tertiary student events in the country (watch the video below to see some of them in action).
He built Australia's largest tertiary DJ initiative (Future DJ). Future DJ within 3 years offered one of the largest DJ competition prize pools in the world ($30,000+), with the world's most influential names behind it including - DJ Mag (UK), Turnmills (UK), Finger Lickin (UK), Slinky (UK), Fuzzy, Future Entertainment and British Council Australia. Future DJ had a promotional reach to over 1 million uni and TAFE students with over 50 different campuses around Australia involved.
As Chairmanager for Relay For Life at Monash Uni, he lead the committee that raised $370,000+ for the Cancer Council.
Entertainment Embassy for 5 years was the key driving force behind the branding success of one of Melbourne's most successful underground nightclubs Wah Wah Lounge.
Entertainment Embassy also produced The Search DJ Competition, which received interest from around the world and included an impressive roster of international and local partners including: Space Ibiza, Cream at Amnesia (Ibiza), Judgement Sundays at Eden (Ibiza), local labels Suckmusic and Freakshow Disco Productions.
